GoogleMe!™ Services and Your Personal BrandMost people can understand the fact that there is nothing more powerful than "owning" your personal brand. Each individual is born with a personal brand; however, very few of us actually "own" that personal brand. For example; how many Donald Trumps are there in the world? How many William Gates? How Many Michael Jacksons? Are you beginning to see my point? All of these individuals have names that are shared by literally thousands of people around the world; however, they actually OWN the personal brand that we happen to refer to as their NAME! It is not enough to just be readily associated with your name above all others that establishes "ownership" of your personal brand, but also controlling what information is found when someone looks up information about you using that personal brand (your name). Many celebrities essentially "sell" a portion of their ownership of a particular name in exchange for fame (as in the examples above). Controlling the information (content) that is associated with that name becomes more difficult and, in some cases, virtually impossible. Public Relations (PR) specialists get paid millions of dollars each year to gain a reasonable amount of control of the content associated with their celebrity clients' personal brands (their names). Now it doesn't matter if you are a celebrity or if you are a "normal" person like myself; the importance of "owning" your personal brand (name) in regards to recognition and content (the information associated with your name) is the same. Anyone who has been a victim of identity theft can fully comprehend what I am trying to convey. What type of damage would occur if someone did a background check on your name and mistakenly associated you with a convicted felon? Have you ever been denied credit because someone else's credit file was "mixed in" with yours? What if a bitter ex-spouse posted slanderous information about you; or your fraternity posted a not-so-flattering story of a very forgettable "Vegas" trip on their blog or MySpace? Let's say that you were an individual who had a significant share of "ownership" of your personal brand (your name). How would anyone be confident that the information (content) associated with you is factual? What are the problems with Michael Jackson's constant assertions of innocence in regards to his legal problems? What are the problems with Wal-Mart combatting its image regarding employee relations? When you assert information (content) regarding your personal brand (your name) you want to be reasonably assured that the receiver of that information is confident of its legitimacy and accuracy (credibility). Lastly, as with any brand, you want your personal brand to stand out as being unique, exceptional and noteworthy. You may all be familiar with the Wal-Mart brand "Equate" that it rolls out various products under. Although you are familiar with it, the brand does not stand out as being anything unique, exceptional or noteworthy. It is clearly securely owned and protected by various trademark regulations, the content associated with the brand is under excellent control and any receivers of information sought out regarding the brand can be fairly confident of its legitimacy and accuracy (credibility). If someone hands me a bottle of mouthwash with the brand "Equate" on it; it simply does not have the same effect as if someone handed me a similar product with the brand "Listerine" on it. The truth of the matter is; however, that the products may otherwise be exactly the same in quality, safety and effectiveness. Your GoogleMe!™ membership will establish ownership of your personal brand (your name) in regards to both association and content control. GoogleMe!™ will establish the credibility of your personal brand. Lastly, GoogleMe!™ will ensure that your personal brand stands out as being unique, exceptional and noteworthy. For your personal brand, this process begins with your GoogleMe!™ confirmed QAlias profile. This profile alone will not fulfill all of the benefits that GoogleMe!™ provides (as described above), but it is the foundation upon which everything will be built. This QAlias profile will establish the association that is necessary to take "ownership" of your personal brand (your name) and will act as the "hub" for controlling the information (content) that is associated with your name when it is searched on Google, Yahoo! and other search engines. GoogleMe!™ will use this hub to help you gain control of the entire first page of content when your name is searched on the above mentioned engines. Most importantly, it will make it easy (very easy) to find YOU on the web when doing a search for your name. GoogleMe!™ will subsequently establish the credibility of the information (content) that you control by way of its third-party verification. This will give all of the content that you control (even outside of GoogleMe!™) the credibility that it will need to give the receiver confidence that the information is legitimate and accurate. In addition; by way of how we will teach you to use your GoogleMe!™ cards; your personal brand, your name and subsequently YOU will stand out as being unique, exceptional and noteworthy. Chances are that you are not the only one in the world with your name; and/or you are not the only one controlling information regarding your name.
